How to: Blowdry like a Pro at Home
Posted on
They say practice makes perfect and when it comes to DIY blowdries we know a thing or two. With these tips and tricks you’ll be able to create enviable volume and bounce every time.
Begin with clean hair, ensuring you take extra care to wash out all of the conditioner, otherwise it could lead to limp looking locks. Comb through your hair and apply an oil such as Super Oil 3 before rough drying to help remove excess moisture.
Top Tip: To create extra volume and shape whilst rough drying, spray some Big Hair Root Volumiser into the roots and pull hair upwards pointing the hairdryer towards your roots.
Now your hair is mostly dry it’s time to section hair to ensure a smooth frizz-free finish. The easiest way to section is to create one from the nape of your neck, a second from temple to temple, a third from your crown and lastly the top section, which usually includes any bangs.
Next up is what most women call the tricky part - Using a round brush take 1-1.5 inch sections and wrap around the brush, angling the nozzle down and moving in sync with your brush. Continue until you have styled each section.
Top Tip: Break up the sections and style by blasting hair with the cool setting on the hairdryer.
Once finished, run a pump or two of Super Oil 3 through the mid-lengths and ends for added shine and definition.
