Lobbed Off

The long bob, or ‘lob’ as it has been so favourably coined by stylists and journalists alike, has been 2015’s biggest hair trend yet. The bob has been a traditionally universal style throughout the years, worn by Coco Chanel, Anna Winter and Elizabeth Taylor, but the latest wave of celebrity inspired styles demand a more ‘mussed-up’ look.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was one of the first celebrities to chop off her gorgeously flowing hair into a soft lob earlier this year, using layers to create texture and movement. Typically, Rosie wears it slightly tousled for that perfect undone finish.
Kim Kardashian swapped her trademark long locks for a shorter look in March, favouring a smooth and sleek style as opposed to the worn in, messier looks we’re used to seeing.
As the summer months kick in and the weather warms up, a shorter style has never been more desirable. Actress Lily Collins recently opted for a collarbone skimming cut, which compliments her oval face shape perfectly. Wear this messy as pictured, or roughly straightened for a lived in feel.
January Jones keeps things a little more polished with her lobbed locks, choosing loose waves and finishing off with a serum for added shine. If you want a less perfect finish, run your fingers through your curls to break them up.
